SourPost
Cookie Policy
A straightforward guide to the small files and browser storage that can support SourPost.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files, or similar browser storage technologies, placed on your device when you visit a website. They can help a site remember a setting, understand how pages are used, or support services provided by another company.
Strictly necessary storage
SourPost currently uses browser local storage to remember whether you selected Accept or Reject in the cookie consent banner. This choice is necessary to respect your preference and prevent the banner from appearing on every page. It does not store your name, location, IP address, or a personal identifier.
Analytics cookies
The current codebase does not load an analytics service. If SourPost adds analytics in the future, those optional technologies will be loaded only after you select Accept, unless a different legal basis and notice are required by applicable law.
Advertising cookies
The current codebase does not load advertising technology. SourPost may use Google AdSense or another advertising service in the future. If introduced, advertising cookies or similar technologies will be treated as optional and will not load before the relevant consent choice.
Third-party services
SourPost may use third-party services for hosting, security, contact handling, analytics, advertising, or embedded content as the site develops. These services may place their own cookies or process information under their own policies. We will review their behavior before enabling optional integrations.
How preferences are stored
Your current choice is stored locally in your browser under the key sourpost_cookie_consent, with a value of accepted or rejected. Clearing site data, using a different browser or device, or using private browsing may remove or reset that choice.
Managing or withdrawing consent
You can withdraw or change your choice by clearing SourPost site storage in your browser settings. A future preference-management control may make this easier. Withdrawing consent will not stop the site’s strictly necessary features from working, but optional services will remain disabled unless you accept them again.
Duration and browser controls
The consent choice remains in local storage until you clear it or the site replaces the consent mechanism. Third-party technologies, if introduced, may have their own retention periods. You can block, delete, or restrict cookies through your browser controls; some site functionality may then behave differently.
External links
SourPost links to external websites that may use their own cookies and tracking technologies. Their practices are outside our control, so please review their policies before using those services.
Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy when the site or its services change. The revised version will be posted here with a new date. For questions about cookies or your choices, please use the Contact link in the SourPost footer.
